Generative AI Software Developer/Engineer - Avionics Development Sandbox (on-site)

This position is for an experienced Software Engineer with either work or personal project experience with Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Generative AI. The position will be part of the Avionics Engineering Team designing and developing the next-generation avionics system of the future.

The Avionics Advanced Technology Development Sandbox team is chartered with defining new disruptive developmental process improvements for the Avionics business unit to enable faster cycle times, lower total lifecycle cost, reduce tech debt and enable greater reusability.

**This position will be performed on-site in Cedar Rapids, Iowa**

Primary Responsibilities:

- Develop, design, and conclude experiments to accelerate business capabilities in the area of Generative AI for avionics development

Basic Qualifications:

- Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder

- Strong software development experience and skills

- Proficient in Unix/Linux

- Proficient in Python

- Proven execution skills in the development of complex systems

- Ability to communicate clearly to large audiences

- Passion or Experience in AI/ML or Generative AI

- Understanding of the fundamentals of AI/ML through research or practice

PREFERRED QUALIFITICATIONS

- Personal or Professional experience with Large Language Models (LLMs)

- Personal or Professional experience with Lang Chain
